Part 2: Peer Review
You will watch and assess two Read-Aloud Videos from other students.
Use the rubric carefully. Your role is not simply to give your classmate a “good grade.” Your task is to apply the same assessment criteria used by your teachers.
Watch the complete video before completing the rubric.
When You Assess a Video
Consider:
Pronunciation & Sound Clarity
Can you understand the words clearly?
Word Stress, Rhythm & Pacing
Does the reader stress important words and use an appropriate rhythm, pace and pauses?
Voice & Intonation
Does the reader's voice help you understand questions, statements, characters, emotions and important moments?
Audience Engagement & Body Language
Does the reader communicate with the audience using eye contact, facial expressions, gestures and body language?
Remember
You are not judging the reader's accent.
Your job is to apply the shared criteria as carefully and consistently as possible.
Your own Peer Review grade /10 will take into account how carefully and consistently you apply these assessment criteria.
Simply giving every reader the highest score does not guarantee a high Peer Review grade.
At the end of each assessment, you must also provide one specific strength and one useful next step for the reader.
