Primary oil recovery methods and mechanisms have been reviewed in Year 1 of this Master.
Year 2 (this course) is devoted to secondary methods (water and gas injection) and tertiary methods, sometimes assimilated to EOR. A focus will be made on chemical methods (polymer, surfactant and alkaline injection), as well as on methods employed to enhance well productivity and injectivity.
