- Compare and contrast legal traditions, identifying similarities, differences, and underlying principles
- Explain and trace the historical development of the common law tradition and its evolution in England & Wales, the United States, and India
- Apply and accurately use fundamental legal and political concepts such as precedent, stare decisis, equity, judiciary, legislature, constitution, federalism, secularism... in written and oral work
- Identify, interpret and analyse judicial and legislative documents: judicial opinions, case summaries, statutes, acts, bills, drafts etc.
- Evaluate the significance and value of comparing different legal traditions, systems, and families.
