Course description:
The objective is to introduce to students organic and hybrid (organic-inorganic) materials presenting a nanometer-scale structure such as nanocomposites & block copolymers. We will see that nano-structuration can induce or accentuate properties compared to usual materials.
Course structure:
During the lectures a presentation will be given on:
1. Introduction to the nanoWORLD !
2. Observe, manipulate and characterize at the nanoscale
3. Organic nanomaterials and their applications (Nanocomposites & Block copolymers for nanolithography, ion diffusion in battery & fuel cell, etc. based on published papers)
The course will be supplemented by TD sessions during which specific scientific papers will be discussed. Finally, during the semester, the students will have to prepare and present (at the end of the semester) a presentation on a chosen topic based on organic nanomaterials (selecting between 2 and 4 scientific papers).
