Dear UNITA Alliance,

We’d like to kindly invite you and your university network to join our next online International Knowledge Exchange webinar of the Education and Innovation Practice Community (EIPC) on Tuesday, 9 April 2024 at h. 14:30-16:00 CET. The focus will be on "Promoting competencies for digital and green innovation through upskilling and reskilling in Higher Education".

This webinar will explore key policy topics highlighting their practical applications, such as setting sectoral directions, encouraging industry engagement, establishing support for students in training programmes. Innovative approaches in reskilling and upskilling to support the dissemination of digital and green innovation competencies within Higher Education will be discussed in an interactive dialogue between the EIPC network, international policy makers and practitioners.

About the Education and Innovation Practice Community (EIPC).

It is an action of the European Commission New European Innovation Agenda (Flagship 4: Fostering, attracting and retaining deep tech talent), implemented with the OECD. It brings together policymakers and higher education practitioners but also private, non-profit, and school-level organisations. The network currently has around 700 representatives from 75+ countries (all EU Member States included). EIPC is organised in three work strands:

1.            developing mindset and competencies for innovation in secondary schools (finalised in Dec. 2023 - see the key findings in the Innovation Bulletin#1)

2.            building capacity for innovative curricula and programme in higher education (to be completed by end March with the publication of the Innovation Bulletin#2)

3.             creating innovative, flexible and dynamic upskilling and reskilling opportunities in higher education (from April 2024).
