This course is designed to help you reach the B1 level required for your degree. We will focus on building your skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

- Semester 1: Reading & Writing Comprehension.
- Themes: Changing Societies
- Grammar: Based on the A1/A2/B1 curriculum.
- Semester 2: Listening & Speaking.
- Themes: The Work Environment, Social Media.
- Grammar: Continuing from Semester 1.
✏️ How You Will Be Graded
Your final grade is based on continuous assessment (Évaluation Continue Intégrale - ECI).
Semester 1:
- CC1 (30%): A test on vocabulary, grammar, and reading around week 44.
- The first test will be on Friday, november 7th, from 13:30 to 14:30 in amphitheatre 2, building letters. Please be on time. You need to leave your bag by the door, bring a black or blue pen and take a seat assigned to you by the teacher. Cell phones are absolutely forbidden! The content of the test is listed on Elearn.
- Le premier contrôle aura lieu le vendredi 7 novembre, de 13h30 à 14h30, dans l'amphithéâtre 2, bâtiment Lettres. Merci d'être ponctuel. Vous devrez laisser votre sac à l'entrée, apporter un stylo noir ou bleu et vous asseoir à la place qui vous sera attribuée par le professeur. Les téléphones portables sont strictement interdits ! Le contenu du test est disponible sur Elearn.
- CC2 (50%): A longer test on reading, grammar, and writing during the last class before Christmas.
- CC3 (20%): Based on mini-quizzes and your active participation in class.
Semester 2:
- CC1 (30%): A speaking presentation during the semester.
- CC2 (50%): A final test on listening comprehension and grammar.
- CC3 (20%): Based on mini-quizzes and your active participation in class.
⚠️ Important Information
- Attendance is not optional, you are supposed to participate in every class.
- Homework: Will be posted weekly on E-Learn. It is essential for your progress.
- Absences for Tests: If you miss a test (CC1 or CC2) for a valid reason (with proof like a doctor's note), you must present proof of absence 48 hours
- Participation: Active participation in class is expected and will count toward your final grade.
