UE TANDEM LINGUISTIQUE ANGLAIS-FRANÇAIS basically enables you to work with a student who is learning your mother tongue.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN ONLY ENROLL ONCE YOU HAVE FOUND A PARTNER (See LIST ON DOCUMENT #2).
If no partner is available, it is not be possible for you to take part in UE Tandem linguistique anglais-français and you have to enroll in another option.
UE TANDEM LINGUISTIQUE IS BASED ON YOUR COMMITMENT TO WORKING SERIOUSLY AND REGULARLY WITH YOUR PARTNER.
IT IS ONLY APPROPRIATE FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE VERY WELL ORGANIZED AND ABLE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE.
YOU WILL NEED TO COMMIT TO MEETING EVERY WEEK WITH YOUR PARTNER FOR 10 WEEKS AND WORK WITH HIM OR HER FOR (AT LEAST) 2.5 HOURS EACH TIME IN A VERY SERIOUS AND RIGOROUS MANNER (USING DICTIONARIES AND OTHER INTERNET RESOURCES) ON THE TOPIC OF THE WEEK (MENTIONED IN THE CALENDAR).
WHAT DOES YOUR WEEKLY SESSION CONSIST IN?
YOU NEED TO WORK ON THE WEEKLY TOPIC IN ONE LANGUAGE FOR HALF AN HOUR AND IN THE OTHER LANGUAGE FOR ANOTHER HALF HOUR.
THEN FILL IN THE WEEKLY EXERCISE SHEET (fiche de bilan de séance) IN YOUR TARGET LANGUAGE. (Should take about 30 minutes.)
SEND IT TO YOUR PARTNER FOR THEM TO CORRECT IT, IMPROVE IT, AND DISCUSS IT WITH YOU. (Should take about 30 minutes.)
YOU DO THE SAME FOR THEM: YOU RECEIVE YOUR PARTNER'S WORKSHEET, CORRECT IT, IMPROVE IT, AND DISCUSS IT WITH THEM. (Should take about 30 minutes.)
YOU NEED TO USE DICTIONARIES, EXPLAIN CORRECTIONS, FIND RULES, ETC.
ONCE YOU ARE DONE WITH THE CORRECTION PHASE, SEND YOUR PARTNER'S WORKSHEET BACK TO THEM, AND THEY SEND YOURS BACK TO YOU;
YOUR SAVE YOUR WORKSHEET IN A PDF FORMAT AND PUT IT ON ELEARN. IF YOUR PARTNER CANNOT ACCESS ELEARN, YOU NEED TO PUT THEIRS ON ELEARN AS WELL.
Your worksheet needs to be on Elearn every week by Sunday (midnight). Some of them will be graded and you will get weekly emails with guidelines to improve your work and get ready for the January oral exam.
